Dr Amita Gupta’s passion is her patients. She cares about you as if you were a family member. As a co- founder of Lifeline Internal Medicine she strives to see her patients well cared for and any chronic illness is managed. Dr. Amita Gupta specializes in women’s healthcare. She can help with all female issues, birth control, pap exams, hormone replacement, mammography referral and menopause issues. She is also an Internal Medicine doctor and hospitalist, who can care for you from the hospital through recovery to wellness, too.
Dr. Amita Gupta, a native of India, is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has been practicing in the Valley since 2004.
She received her medical training at Lady Hardinge Medical College in Delhi, India, and Jawaharial Nehru Medical College in Aligarh, India, and holds a diploma in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Safdarjang Hospital in Delhi, India.
She is co-author of an article titled, “Historical Cohort Study of Second-Trimester Emergency Cerclage,” published in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Upon moving to the United States in 1999, Dr. Gupta completed a post-doctoral research fellowship at Oregon Health Sciences University and a three-year residency program in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai, Veterans Hospital in Bronx, NY.
Her work in Arizona includes hospitalist positions with several medical practices affiliated with the Banner Health system, as well as private practice. Dr. Gupta still works as a hospitalist for Banner Baywood Medical Center, Banner Baywood Heart Hospital, Chandler Regional Hospital and Mercy Gilbert Hospital.
